In Prodos, you have to have some type of system program running.
Basic.System is the Apple authored interface for Applesoft and
P8. There is another from Kitchen Sink Software called Microdot
but I don't know if it's still available. Like mine, it uses the
& hook and a lot less memory.

Amperdos, is a 128k interface to P8. It uses aux memory for
Applesoft variables and offers 60k variable space and 39k for
program space. Plus other features.

Originally, it was intended for my other project Atree, but I
hit a stumbling block. Amperdos uses Extra Vars from Beagle and
I don't have the info to return variable info from machine code.
Some day, I'll decode it, either running (preferred) or by
disassembly if I have to.
