The software is a patch to AppleWorks ( a big one - like the old AE expander)
which makes it work with the speech synthesizer. I don't know exactly how it
works because I don't have the hardware. It would be used by someone who is
blind. There seems to be plenty of this hardware around, because I have had
several requests to update the patch for AppleWorks 5.1. Even if I did update
it, I couldn't distribute it. I don't know how it differs from printing to the
speaker.
