System 5.04?

I have a IIgs Rom 1 with 1 meg of RAM and no hard drive.  As I
understand it, system 6.01 ( which is still on Apple's ftp site) will
barely function at all on this machine.  So system 5.04 is the better
bet.

System 601 will work ok on one disk, if you use the bare minimum files
and eliminate the Finder. I have a one disk version of 601 which I use
in emergencies.
