How I miss being able to log on and send email and files on my Apple II!!!!

I tried sending an email with some shrinkit files to another Apple II member,
but AOL coverts them to .sit files. Result? I believe they're corrupted and
so does AOL from the carbon copy file that I mailed myself. Is there a way
to keep AOL on my *&^%$#@i(maginary)Mac from further compressing the files?

The problem is that many Apple II filetype suffixes (like .shk and .sdk)
are not correctly MIME typed by net servers.

Fortunately, practically everyone has a way to unzip .zip files; so,
it's a pretty good way to bullet-proof Apple II attachments. For example, you
could use WinZIP to convert narfgame.sdk into narfgame.zip.

Renaming the attached file from "narfgame.sdk" to "narfgamesdk.bin"
would probably work, too. The ".bin" should cause the file to be treated as a
binary MIME type and not get messed up.
