I can only speak for myself here but I have a great attitude toward
the people I develop software for. If it wasn't for them and their
positive feedback I probably wouldn't write stuff for the Apple II.
I'm sure my brother, who I make my living with writing software for
the PC, would be ecstatic if I were to give up on the Apple II and
just develop for the PC (eww, what an icky thought :-).

However, I do have a bad attitude towards brazen pirates and people
who attack my online friends. Those are not the people I develop
software for.

Sure, but how does that help identify who is at the IP address? By
the way, my IP address is dynamic which won't make things any easier
for you to track me down.

I don't defend Q_C. I am amused by some of his postings and I get a
little upset with his language sometimes (especially when he first
arrived in this newsgroup) but I don't defend him. I do agree with
most of his statements, though.

I don't understand this statement at all. As far as I know Q_C isn't
a developer at all but I can't be certain so I don't even bother
conjecturing about whether he is an active developer or not.

It seems to me that both methods provide the same result. How does
one method make you a coward and the other not?

They aren't fairy tales. I've met several people who have had their
machines attacked and I'm pretty sure mine has been too. Probably
just bored hackers in my case but all I did was shut down my machine.

I only respond to the postings of others promoting illegal activities
or other statements that need to be corrected. If they don't post
about that kind of stuff, I won't reply to it.

Other than that, I'm more than happy, and actually prefer, to just
discuss the Apple II.

Like I said, I don't defend Q_C but I often agree with his statements.

Neither does Q_C, as far as we know. In fact, he takes people to task
for promoting piracy. Why do you have a problem with that?
