Do you have a manual? Make sure you have the paper feeding in and the platen
set up correctly. Pushing, pulling coming in from top or bottom requires a
different setup. I prefer to do the self test with a single sheet of paper,
without the cut sheet feeder. Have the paper feed lever back for friction
feed. The paper thickness lever to 1. I discovered that paper matters so use
a 20 pound bond for the self-test. If the self test doesn't work I don't
think your computer is going to make a difference. The manual mentions a
Hyperstack that has more trouble shooting information. My manual says if the
self test is failed take the printer to the Apple Dealer. Good luck. Sandy
