Louis probably heard about this one.

A investigative reporter for one of hte local TV stations recently ran a piece
on a San Diego school district that used $40,000 in federal grant money to buy
10 Apple Cinema Displays.  These are 21" wide aspect LCD monitors that cost $4K
each and were designed for high end graphics workstations.  They ended up being
used in the district's offices essentially being used as toys for the staff.

Although a district spokeman for the district said some are being used for
webpage work, local computer experts all agreed that it was overkill.
