I remember when we lived in a small town on the OK-KS border, and the elementary
school principle and and his secretary got new Macs, while the classrooms still had
only a //e each. I asked why not //GSs, so that the classrooms computers could be
connected to the office's machines by AppleTalk, or NikeNet. All I got were blank
looks. It's almost as if practicality and school administration are mutually
exclusive.
