True, but by the time you find a TWGS or ZipGS, buy the needed
IIGS memory, find a large hard drive, and find all the software
and hardware that makes the IIGS a special computer, the
cost would almost be that of getting this upgrade.

Also remember that with a flick of a key, your new IIGS can
launch Windows 2000 and run your PC apps at 550Mhz or
run Linux or BeOS for that matter.

My real issue is with emulation speed.  Is a 550Mhz K6-2
or K6-III really capable of running Sweet16 or KEGS at
speeds approaching that of a 12.5Mhz TWGS?  I know that
if you run benchmarks on an emulator, it will tell you that
you are running REALLY fast, but the REAL emulation
speed (running applications) is often A LOT slower than
the speed benchmarked.  As with all emulations,
benchmarks are misleading.

That's why I want to gather information from IIGS users
who have FAST accelerators and hard drives AND fast
PCs and emulators to see how emulators stack up.

Please, no emulator users with plain IIGSes.  Thanks.
