THis reminds me of how I got my very 1st ProDOS disk to work on my
Franklin Ace: I used a 486 PC with a Central Point Options Card. I
formated a 3.5 on a Mac Classic in ProDOS I then loaded it and a
unformated 5.25 DSDD in the PC and painfully, slowly formated the later
and track copied the 3.5 onto the 5.25 using some mid 80s hacking
Software I found on the net. I went thru this proceedure about 4 times
before I got a bootable ProDOS that worked. To steal my thunder the day
I FINALLY got it working was the day that my order to Byteworks arrived
with a professionally copied ProDOS disk (and a full System 5 and 6 set
for the GS. I would suggest a note to those folks; GOOD resource!).
The next day I found a STACK of ][ formated disks (including Copy II+)
at Goodwill for give-away prices. Oh Well.....
