Hi!
I have a IIGS connected to a composite monochrome 'Apple Monitor III' and
try to explore the possibility of connecting to a PAL TV-set (I'm in Europe)
using a Composite <--> SCART Europlug connection ( a S-VHS derivative)
In the IIGS control-panel it is possible to toggle between 50 Hz and 60 Hz
acc. to the PAL/NTSC standards. While toggling between these two settings,
I get a picture, all right, but in Black&White. 'The monitor III' responds
by going slightly off sync, and is corrected by adjusting the horizontal/
vertical hold buttons on the back side, but the TV-set keeps showing B/W.
--> I then tried a different approach and added a NTSC/PAL 'Smart'
converter box additionally. I then got color on the screen, but the
picture now starts rolling.
Does anyone have any idea on how to approach this further?
best regards
