Yes. The PowerPC G4 also runs on a 100Mhz bus speed
which is why the Athlon has such a huge advantage.

But it is worth noting that this is exactly where the Athlon
is aimed. For us old Apple II users, we'd probably prefer
to build the computer from parts, but there are name brand
Athlon systems worth taking a look at for the average
customer. Compaq has a 1Ghz Athlon system, for example.
This, I expect would be of great interest to those who need
the power but don't want to search out and assemble the
components.

350Mhz difference + greater L1 cache + high speed L2
cache + newer architecture + 200Mhz front bus. What
did you expect? ;-)
