A fair number of you do -- after all the Religious Right is stronger in
the US than in any European country. You'll have to go to countries
with islamic governments to find a significantly stronger religious
fundamentalism.

But of course ALL americans aren't like that! You're a big country
with big differences between different parts of the country. In New
York City, for instance, I'd expect religious fundamentalism to be no
stronger than in any European city.

Well, when you export so much TV you'll also export an image
of your cuntry - what else did you expect?

I notice a fair share of them in Stockholm. Seems like most
americans have a dream of going to Europe, just like most europeans
have a dream of going to the US. The grass is always greener on the
other side of the pond.... :-)

Well we know THAT! Some states have captal punishment (Texas is the
leader there, right?) while others dont. Some states have fairly (to
american standards) strict gun laws while others have very little gun
restrictions. Sometimes I wonder why you ever became united
states....

I saw the film "Bridges of Madison County" on TV the other week.
It was neither from NYC nor from LA, SF or Hawaii.....

And my son loves "South Park".

BTW it would be interesting to hear the typical american's
impression of TV and film from outside the US. Any impression
at all?

You got it backwards -- YOU are the one having a strange tongue,
not them.... :-)
