No, I live (as the Alaskans say) down in the USA.

Well, I just remembered that the whole thing started when Paul brought up the
American Religious Right so I think it was fair to talk in terms of US
politics. I lot of Europeans think we think that way. Maybe because they watch
so much American TV and so many American movies they are too busy to notice how
many of the World's travelers are from the USA. I also wonder if they
understand how independent the States are? All they see on TV is LA and New
York with some Baywatch Hawaii and San Francisco thrown in. You don't see much
on TV about how things like the law and dialect change from place to place.
Hollywood has a basic fake southern/western/country accent and that is about
it. I have NEVER heard on TV those wonderfull melodic southern women's voices I
get when I phone companies in Atlanta.

I saw "Canadanistan" in an editorial cartoon and I liked it. It's that third
world socialist country of the great white north with severe gun control,
national health care with waiting lists, and full of Canadanistanians who
insist on speaking in their strange tongue.
