And, my father was killed in World War II - fighting against Hitler and the
Gestapo also. Neither have anything to do with the Apple II line of computers
or the Apple II Reference Manual ("Red Book").

This subject and the threads now associated with it have reached the point of
complete nonrelated obsurdity. This seems to be a fairly common thing and
IMHO, it's all rather silly too.

Such original subjects and their original purpose will often jump from one
nonrelated concept and debate to another - to the point they finally end up
having absolutely nothing to do with the original subject or discussion,
debate, etc. concerning such. Can anybody give a valid reason why this is?

You can suggest that it go back to a discussion that concerns and is related to
the original subject posted and they simply ignore your suggestion and go on
about, abortion, murder, world politics, the left and right, guns, country,
regional, national and international domains and so many other things - that
have absolutely nothing to do with the subject or purpose of this newsgroup.

I personally find such to be silly, obsurd, beyond logic and slightly amusing
with the fashion of the subject threads and their progression from one
nonrelated thing to another.

Tom
