Putting Back the GS in GSAUG

Our user group has diminished to a precious few. But last meeting we
had a rocking demo session with a ROM 3 sporting a ZIPGSX and Sonic
Blaster hooked to a pair of 35 watt Acoustic Research speakers. We
had a boom box with video. Thanks to whoever mentioned Megademo - it
just happened that as we decided to boot that demo when some of the Mac
group came through on tour. The pumping stereo music drowned out any
talk. We had a captive audience. The awed responses were priceless.
One Mackie wanted to know where the CD player was. A couple had their
mouths hanging open. Couldn't belive this was an obsolete computer.
The best response came from a teacher who watched the playback on Sonic
Blaster's system - Alvin's voice was sped up and slowed down. She said
she understood why GS people like their machines. They're fun!!!

We just had elections and I am heading up our group for a second year. We
also have a new editor and have been given 3 pages to fill. Could use some
help doing that. We have a video library and a stack of Call A.P.P.L.E.
mags. We help teachers get equipment, software and support. If anyone has
suggestions about what we might do to add to our membership I like to hear
from you. Sandy Warnken warnken@mother.com
