Hello,
the one hardware store I found here in Germany that was willing to sell
me inch sized screws has now finally sent me an offer after about two
months: They want almost 140 ($185) for 200 screws, which is the
minimum amount I can buy. I only really need six, so I said no.
On eBay there are sellers that sell smaller amounts but they still want
$33 for shipping.
So I wonder if any of you American or Canadian Apple II people would be
willing to sell me some. I'd like to get one dozen, so I have some
spares. I guess that should cost no more than $3, right? From the US,
shipping should be $14 for Priority Mail International and in the single
digit range for First-Class International, and I'd assume it's similar
from Canada. I'd gladly add any gasoline/paper/box/duct tape etc. costs
you incur plus some more (whatever you feel it's worth) for your time
and effort.
To reiterate: I need one dozen #6 - 32 x 5/16" countersunk head screws,
if possible with Phillips head and made of zinc coated steel, but the
latter two are not crucial. Ideally I could pay you through PayPal if
you can receive funds through it (of course I'd cover the PayPal fee),
otherwise I could simply snail-mail you some cash (US or Canadian) or,
if unavoidable, send it through Western Union (which is expensive in
itself).
If you can help me out, just drop me a mail. My address in the header is
valid as-is.
Thanks in advance!
