Apple IIgs in IIe case?

I recently picked up an Apple IIgs in an Apple IIe case. It
is obviously not a hack but was built by Apple to use the IIe
case. It even has "Apple IIgs" in place of the "Apple IIe"
label.
I've never run across one of these before. Are they at all
common?
