If you are at all an Apple II fan, then it is definitely worth going.

I wanted to go for years but could never afford it and finally scraped
together enough cash to go last year.  I've already registered to go
again this year and have just posted a message to the Delphi A2 Forum
to see if there is anyone wanting to share the drive from the Toronto,
Ontario area to Kansas City and back.  It can be accessed by typing
"go com a2 for 30439" from the text side or going to this URL from the

There is a vendor fair every year and last year there was a fairly
wide selection of hardware and software available.  I helped Dave
Miller sell some hardware for Gina Saiken at the vendor fair last
year.  4 MB RAM cards, Apple High Speed SCSI cards and some other
stuff.

However, the place I got the most hardware last year was at Sean
Fahey's house not far from Kansas City.  He had a garage full of Apple
II stuff and I left there with two ROM 3 IIgs', a Laser 128EX, a IIe,
floppy drives, keyboards and a few other things I think.

If there is anything in particular you are looking for you can always
ask for it on the KFest mailing list so that if someone has it for
sale they can be sure to bring it with them.  There is information
about joining the KFest mailing list on the KFest web page at:

Pretty much anything can happen at KFest and you can have an
incredibly good time there.

By the way, early registration prices end next Friday (the 15th of
April).
