Re: AppleCrate II

With the AppleCrateII, is it the case that each Apple II motherboard
has 64 K of memory, since there is no Extended 80 Column Card
installed on any of the slave boards?

Yes, that's correct.

I considered a few schemes to include another 64KB within the tight
vertical clearance, but finally decided that 64KB would be a constraint
on the slave machines. Since they are programmed in Applesoft, the
bank-switched extra 64KB is not much missed.

Can the master board have the Extended 80 Column Card installed, and
does NadaNet use the extra memory for anything?

The extended 80-column card is installed in the master machine, but,
again, it gets little use beyond 80-columns.

Really impressive project! Love reading about it!

Thanks, it was great fun doing it, and still inspires me. ;-)

Cheers!

Right on!
