Do you have the soft video switch assembly or are you simply going
to connect the card directly to a monitor?
If connecting directly to a monitor then only the top two of the 5 pins
are used with the first pin going to the outside of the RCA jack.and the

second  the center. the others aren't used with this setup.
Connecting directly to a monitor means you won't be getting a signal
through the card unless you're in 80 columns and when in 80 columns
there's no new signal coming out the built-in video jack. When I had
that setup I used a manual switch to change connections since changing
video connections a couple hundred times a day was a bit tiring. Coming
accross a Soft switch assemble was a pretty happy event at the time
