As a matter of fact...

Although most folks don't realize it, Harmonie includes a printer driver for
the ImageWriter II that provides a lot more user control than does Apple's
IW driver. With it, you can control the degree of brightness and contrast,
and choose from several different dithering options.

It's been many years since I last used it, as I bought a LaserJet in 1993,
but I'd say that in my case, the IW II driver in Harmonie extended the life
of my IW II by several years.

That said, HP DeskJet-clones can be had for as little as $50, and as
SuperTimer pointed out, the output at 300 dpi is far superior to anything
that the IW II can output.
