ProFile maintenance hints?

    I have a 5 Mb Profile hard drive running an my II+ system.  After having
packed it away for a few years without use, I recently attached it again.
The drive is working OK, but seems noisier than I remember and takes longer
to spin up to speed (when the ready light comes on).

    Do other Profile users suggest any maintenance steps which might quiet
the drive a bit?  I am very hesitant to open the drive and oil any moving
parts inside, lest I do more harm than good.
