If you search around a bit, there is an article on ProFile maintenance.
Basically, it says sometimes a noisy drive can be quieted by bending up the
arm found on the bottom of the drive, to provide better contact. There may
be some more details to it, but that was the gist. Otherwise, you live with
the noise.
