It should work one way or the other.  Accelerators do not affect
printer interfaces except speed up printing (the rendering part of
it).  Something else must be missing.  Have you set the Grappler's
slot to 'Your Card'?

If all else fails, suspect the Grappler.  If you know someone with
a DeskWriter (serial version of the DeskJet) you can borrow it
and try printing to the DeskWriter with the Harmonie driver and
the 57.6k serial driver, bypassing the Grappler completely
(DeskWriters print through the printer port rather than a slot
based parallel card).
