Most old mac floppys have one of two problems; gummy old grease in the
eject motor gear train, or burnt out eject motor due to repeated operation
with the first problem. Basically the drives need to be partially
disassembled, cleaned, and relubricated and assembled.

Not exactly rocket science, leave the head adjustments ALONE, work
carefully on a nice flat sheet of newspaper so you don't lose anything,
and most people will do fine at cleaning. Make sure you use a solvent safe
for you, and the drives, but still get them completely clean. Three dozen
drives are sitting in a box waiting for me to do just this cleaning on
them. Seems like all the older systems have the drives failing about now,
so I wouldn't hold out much hope a replacement parts machine would have
good drives, or good for very long.

The keyboard needs cleaning too. What many people I know do is to take the
keyboard out and put it by itself in the top rack of a dishwasher and run
the rinse cycle with no soap a couple times. Allow the keyboard to
COMPLETELY dry out before putting it back in the apple (this means a
couple days in a dry location).
