Re: Apple IIC Plus

Ryan:

If I understand your post correctly, you have one IIc+ with a bad drive,
and one IIc+ from e-bay witha bad keyboard. Using a standard #2 phillips,
you can disassemble the IIc+s and swap the drive from the e-bay computer to
your original IIc+. 2nd option, disassemble and swap keyboards. 3rd
option, pop off all the keycaps from the sticky keyboard and clean each
individually, top and switch. Most of the IIc+ unit is modular and has
'keyed' plugs than only fit one way in one location making swapping parts
convenient.

I do not know of any specific place to get replacement parts other than
'pull your own' from old equipment. (Buyer beware.)

Most Apple II softare will work on a IIc+. Just remember to boot it in
normal speed if it gives you problems. (Hold ESC while booting or
Open-apple-Control-Esc-Reset to reboot at normal speed.) Also consider
getting a 5.25" drive to run most of the Apple II software. (PR#6 should
work to boot off the 5.25" floppy.)

If you need software, there are two options. 1-Ask for specific titles and
someone will probably offer up originals for sale. 2-Ask for someone to
provide disks of stuff available online for a nominal fee.

Hope this helps.
