another way to do it is:

edit with notepad/wordpad/ whatever your text editor is on PC

select all, copy,

go to applewin, and press SHIFT-INSERT (into basic prompt, or
a text editor)

this allows you to paste the windows clipboard to the emulator,
and the emulator interprets the clipboard as keyboard input
