Its not like I can e-mail you a reply.  For some reason my e-mails
don't seem to make it to you.

It is quite easy to hide your identify, at least temporarily, but it
is much more difficult and time consuming to track people down.  As
the quantum_tiger post was sent through an anonymous poster, it would
be rather difficult to find the original poster.  Maybe not impossible
but I've got much better things to do with my time.

Personally, if I'm about to go off half-cocked about something I read
online, I take a break from my computer.  When I come back and look at
it again, it usually is less offensive or makes more sense.  I've even
been known to spend time writing up a somewhat nasty reply and upon
proof reading it decided it was going too far so I deleted it unsent.

The more restraint people show and the more thought they put into
reading and replying the better all online communication will be.
