There are a number of excellent printers for the Macintosh II: the LaserWriter,
StyleWriter and ImageWriter being popular models from Apple.  With respect
to laser printers, I believe that HP still makes LocalTalk printers which
will run on most Macs.  If used printers are your game, then most PostScript
printers with LocalTalk support will *probably* run using the LaserWriter
drivers.  The problem with used lasers is that toner cartridges seem to be
difficult to find within four or five years (from my experience).  Dot
matrix printers seem to be more rugged, and ribbons are easeir to obtain
(again, from experience).

Finally, you are posting this message in the wrong group since the Apple II
is completely different from the Macintosh II.  Both computers are made by
the same company, so the mistake is understandable given the similarities in
name.  (OTOH, people who come in here asking about G3's are way off -- the
Apple II's run at ~1 and ~3MHz.  :-)  Try the comp.sys.mac.* hierarchy for
more directed responses.  (Then again, printing on the Mac II is probably
more closely related to printing on the Apple II than G3's or G4's -- given
the advent of USB.)
