Apple IIc: Wiring the 0-modem cable for ADT operation.

Thanks to members of the newsgroup for replies with advice on how to prepare
the 0-modem cable between my IIc and PC!

As far as I can see I've managed to get a one way contact that is the
RX-stream from PC to IIc, as I succeded in uploading the ADT.DUMP code to
the IIC.

My connection is DIN-5 (from IIc) to Dsub 9M for the PC-side. I've
connected all 5 wires to the P-pin Dsub acc. to the Rubywand FAQ

When running the ADT.EXE on the PC and starting ADT-client on the IIc, it is
not possible to get a response from the PC when trying to issue commands
like 'Directory, Receive'.

Occasionally the PC reports while executing ADT.exe "COM - port already in
use by other application" even though there is no application using it.

Questions.

My question: Should I remove the other wires on the Dsub 9M except for
the RX,TX and ground, and try again?

Will I risk to fry the IIC board if rewiring incorrectly?

Best regards
