It's a long, long story (which I wrote about in either inCider/A+ or
Shareware Solutions II), but an attempt was made by one of the slickest
IIGS programmers ever (Burger Bill) to "fix" PSGS to work with HP printers,
and after a year, he gave up.

The only printers that work with Print Shop are those that Broderbund
included drivers for. An exception is the Epson Stylus printers, because
they can use the old Epson drivers in Print Shop.
The alternative is to switch to a Desktop Publishing program.
A couple of years ago, the Shareware Solutions II newsletter sponsored a
DTP contest, and all the winning entries looked even better than what PSGS
could output. There were 3 different contests, actually...one for
AppleWorks GS, one for GraphicWriter III, and one for PublishIt 4.
The various DTP contest disks have been available from Shareware Solutions
II for the past few years.
The AppleWorks GS winners come on two 3.5" disks. Cost = $5.
The GraphicWriter III winners come on two 3.5" disks. Cost = $5.
The PublishIt 4 winners come on one 3.5" disk. Cost = $4.
Postage to anywhere included.
