Re: Applesoft Interface to QuickDraw?
About getting the thingsyou really need for this Jon....
The Iconix full program just is not available anywhere to the best
of my knowledge :((( The demo is only a self-running preview and nothing more.
SuperBasic is available on Tarnover in the language folder.
There are multitudes of info on how to interface QuickDraw for SHR pictures,
animation and so on from the various areas of both Ground and Tarnover. You
could spend the entire day looking for them all. But, there is a lot of
information on it scattered here and there on the sites to review and learn
from.
IMHO, the best src. code for doing this is that from the FTA group. The
archives in the 1WSW folder on Ground and it's mirrors of the GIFT archives has
some fantastic src. code, apps, examples and so on for SHR
animation and other tricks, scrolling, drop windows and such. I think many of
the routines and examples used in many of the GIFT archive apps are actually
done using the Iconix program (or so I've been told). BTW, I've varified all
the GIFT archives and they are all OK!
I've certainly got my eye out for the Iconix full version of the program.
It is a freeware and I do know somebody that has the full version. As soon as
I can obtain it from him - then I'll make it available b- with an upload to all
of the Apple2 ftp sites and (of course) I'll send a copy of the archive on to
you also.
Cheers,
Tom
