Both Bob Ryan and more recently - George Rentovich (both of whom are fairly
knowledgeable in the functions of rare and unusual older Apple II cards, IMHO)
have posted and expressed in so many words about this card that - as per
George's post:

"This I believe is not used to edit tapes, but to store or backup your HD on a
VHS tape. This came out when  people were getting into VCRs. Not many had HDs
at this time due to cost. This was a way to back up what you had on tape thru a
VCR."

And, I reply:  Having a desire to confirm this I contacted a friend that had
the software for this card and the manual.  He confirmed that this is indeed
the use and purpose of the card in question.
