Re: XGS/32 v1.5 Released

Hi Steve,

I downloaded the 1.5 upgrade patch from 1.4b yesterday. A few problems
I noticed:

1. it complained that the ROM could not be found, even though it was
located in the same place, with the correct name. I discovered that 1.5
wants the fullpath entered, e.g. "D:\XGS32\ROM1.ROM", whereas the
previous version was happy with just "ROM1.ROM" as long as it's in the
current working directory. There are actually two error dialog boxes,
the first complains about no ROM found, and second one about not being
able to allocate memory. Once I enter the full path, problem solved.
Oh, and you need to enter the fullpath for all four support files, the
ROM and BRAM, and the two character emulation files.

2. I lost mouse control again. I email you regarding this awhile back.
I am using an USB mouse. I tried to play Arkanoid GS (it's my sanity
check game :-) and instead of making the paddle move, I got a Windows
pointer.

I'll try to remove XGS32 and install the full 1.5 from scratch to see if
that clears it up.

Regards,

Jimmy
