I'm not clear from the description of the problem... is the error when
restarting the NT server, or restarting the (Mac) client?

How are the clients connected to the server? (Ethernet or other
physical layer? Are you using TCP/IP?)

I saw the caution from another user in the thread about Mac services
with NT, but I've been running them for months with no problems. (NT4
Server with 10/100 Ethernet to Mac clients using Ethertalk; TCP/IP
configured on all systems.)
