Power outages

In my part of the world, power outages are fairly
common, and I recently had to replace my UPS (bad rectifier
which wasn't worth replacing).  I got to wondering how
many Apple II users use one for their machines.  (I get
the standard reaction from my IBM-type friends: "What do
you need a UPS for on an Apple // computer?"  Try telling
them about wanting to save that 10 page AppleWorks WP you
were working on, etc.  Seems they just can't get over the
fact that I have my Apple on a UPS.  :)

Anyone else?
