Apart from that, the GS does not support game port input for a mouse. I
doubt that you could get a driver for it somewhere, but even if you
could, if would almost certainly be an 8-bit driver, that would be
useless under GS/OS.

Yes, but this is not a game port problem, it's a driver problem. All GS
programs expect the standard ADB mouse.

No, no, and dunno.
You can just try this out. There won't be any damage If you make sure
that the computer and the monitors are off while you connect and
disconnect them.

No, not "special", just one with the right connectors.
The rest I can't answer, except I must have missed the post about the
harddrive connected to the floppy port...
