    Sad to say; First thought best...

    The hypothesis around 5,25" drive scan seems to be true according to the
following facts I encountered in the recording sessions of my first 2 discs:

    - The click in Finder is always there, even if no 5,25" drive is connected
to the IIgs;

    - When a 5,25" drive is attached, the LED is flashing to the rythm of the
click;

    - The internal speaker seems to be more affected than the output from
SoundMeister or AudioAnimator audio cards;

    - The click disappears when running many apps but is coming back when a
open/save dialog is called (it's especially useful to get rid of this noise
when sending a synthLAB sequence to a digital audio tape for mastering!)

    But this noise is not this annoying when you compare it to the high pitch
"hiss" that drill you inner ear when pulling a menu from the Finder menubar!!!
