Well, I am self taught in all my computers, Yes, the Apple required
less knowledge to use but more knowledge to make the most of it. This
is really the major point.

Too bad, it's not nearly as hard as you think. With a packaged
distribution you have lot's of neat tools and apps. But too each
his own. I take it you have no experience with UNIX?

IMHO, it allows me to run the best GS emulator on a PC, and I
don't have to deal with Windows all the time.
