I don't know either.  :-)

Personally, I find Linux too complex and needing a LOT of time
invested in learning how to use it effectively to make it a good
replacement for my Apple IIs.  The nice thing about the Apple IIs was
that you could easily learn what you needed to know to take control of
the machine.

I will be making use of Linux as the gateway to my cable modem for my
home network but I don't have the time to learn much more about it
than that at present.
