That seems to be a common problem with most hardware vendors.
They are afraid that releasing this info will allow the competition to
get an advantage over them. Out of curiosity, have you checked in
any of the Linux sites for info on this printer. If someone has created
a driver to use it with Linux you may be able to get the info you need.
