I don't know about that, but here is info on another piece of hardware,
which may relate to your question:
Apple extended 80 column AppleColor Adaptor card: allows interface to NTSC
or RGB monitor, or both at once. Allows you to select color of monitor
text. "Improves video quality by removing extraneous colors that occur
during color transitions in hi-res mode."
