Sometimes the Mac will add some extra data (resource fork).  Usually
the problem exists in how the file is converted for use on a PC, but
sometimes the file needs to be downloaded a slightly different way
(maybe with a different program).

The whole "resource fork" issue is not necessarily the case, though.
