Try looking at 2qwk! since it comes with a ProDOS patch (actually, a series
of patches, because it patches several programs as well) for non-ProDOS
file names. I don't know if it does everything that you want, or if it will
work for pre-existing files, but it is worth a try. I forget the exacty
pathname, but try:
ftp://ground.ecn.uiowa.edu/2/apple2/apple8/Comm/a2qwk/
