Need help identifying this drive?

Now, I'm not sure if this is an apple drive, the guy who gave it to me had
no idea either...at first I thought it was a PC external floppy drive
except that the connector looks almost identical to a apple 3.5 connector
as well (even the molded plug part)
The drive info is:
'Cutting Edge' on top front edge and bottom label (with odd logo of four
triangles in a square that I don't recognize)
PC-style mechanism (maunual insert, manual eject)
Floppy drive and mechanism has 'Copal' on almost all the chips, labels,
etc internally.

That's all I can see the describe it by.
