If it really is a generic Mac 3.5 drive, then it probably will not
work on the Apple II unless you had a Laser Universal Disk
Controller card.  Fujitsu, for example, made a generic 3.5
drive for the Mac.  It would NOT work on the Apple II or IIGS
unless the Apple II had a Laser UDC card.  It worked great
on an Apple II with a UDC card and on the Laser 128 series.
