     True, and not a bad reason for keeping things as they are. 

     Steering lost Mac users to a Mac newsgroup is not all that much bother--
for sure, not enough to justify a name change. 

     Besides, we've already done a name change once-- back several years ago
this was (I think) comp.sys.apple. Going to comp.sys.apple2 made sense and was
a fair accommodation to Apple, Inc..

     If lost users is a problem for Apple and/or Mac newsgroups, _they_ should
consider name changes-- e.g. something like "comp.sys.applemac.system". Coming
up with a goofy name like "MacIntosh" was Apple's idea, not ours.
