Don't even go there.  
Why?

1.  New, and yes there are new Apple II Users (I was one myself five years
ago), won't go searching "A2" anymore than you would search "M2" or "PM2" for a
Macintosh II or a Power Macintosh.

2.	 Folks come back into the fold after being gone for months or years. 
They even post their returns here. They'll think that we're gone, not moved if
we change our name.

3.	 It's so darn entertaining to see all of those Windows and Mac users
pulling their hair out after they've puled out their wallets to buy that junk. 
BUY AN APPLE II AND GET YOURSELF A _REAL_ COMPUTER!  One that actually WORKS!!

    I realize the Mac users who don't know of any other `Apple'
    just think it's a Mac II newsgroup (if they even do that).

    Plenty of Mac users do know and do not post here and, for
    that matter, so what if they do - they may have relevant
    thoughts/info to share and that's great - it's just the
    ones that do tend to stumble in here; do so unwittingly
    and though that's not a crime - every once in a while it
    irks me. I should know better and keep my own counsel.

    Nonetheless, my newsreader has a SEARCH function. I don't
    scroll through, looking for a possible `hit'... Oh, waitasec,
    Apple comes B4 Mac - oops. I guess they do the same; but
    look no further!    <sigh>  Oh well...

    Mayhaps we _should_ get this newsgroup renamed, to something
    more descriptive, such as:

    comp.sys.apple2.no.this.is.NOT.a.Mac.newsgroup.keep.looking

    Think it'll work?    :->
