Probably, but this would make the program specific to that brand of
parallel card.  Another problem is that there might be timing or I/O
interaction requirements that make it very difficult if not impossible
to access directly from BASIC.

I don't have low level addressing information for any parallel cards
apart from Apple's one (and possibly also the Grappler Plus).
